Community Engagement

In May, the primary focus was increasing community engagement efforts to strengthen Brittney's current following, and encourage conversation with non-followers and brands. This helped garner attention from Pulp Riot, a company that produces hair color and supplies.

They sent Brittney over $250 worth of product as a thank you for her hard work, for supporting her fellow stylists, and sharing her talents with the world.

Community Engagement Strategy

I spent time researching different brand accounts and the lesser-known salons and stylists they follow and feature. From there, I made it a point to follow and comment on posts from and about those smaller businesses. I did this to show support for them, garner the attention of their followers, and identify the major brands that support them.

A few weeks after implementing this strategy, Pulp Riot Hair began focusing on the comments being left by the Hair by Brittney accounts. It began with a few likes and quickly escalated to Brittney receiving a personalized message and gift box from the company.

She continues to receive praise from other major brands and stylists for her hard work and creativity.
